Showcase Gig Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “our”, and “us”) engages in business operations focused on services related to sales promotions improvements to store operations, etc. through the use of the internet. We acknowledge that the personal information acquired from customers, etc. through our business operations (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”) is an important information asset for us, and the protection of such Personal Information is our principal social responsibility. Therefore, we shall handle the Personal Information acquired through our business operations in accordance with the following policies and, with regard to the protection of personal information, endeavor to provide peace of mind and fulfill our social responsibilities to our customers, clients, prospective employees, and applicants for employment.

1. Basic Policy

  1. Upon acquisition of Personal Information, we shall specify the purpose of its use and conduct said acquisition by legitimate and fair means within the lawful scope of our business.
  2. We shall use the Personal Information acquired only for the purposes specified and take appropriate measures so as not to use it for any other purposes.
  3. In the event we are to entrust or provide a third party with the Personal Information, we shall select a party who meets sufficient standards for protection of personal information and take appropriate measures by means of a contract, etc.
  4. We shall comply with all laws, government guidelines, and other regulations regarding the handling of Personal Information.
  5. We shall acknowledge the risk of leaks, loss, or damage, etc. of Personal Information and take appropriate measures for the prevention and rectification thereof.
  6. We shall handle in good faith all complaints and consultations, etc. regarding our handling of Personal Information acquired from the relevant individuals.
  7. Our officials and employees shall acknowledge the importance of protecting Personal Information and endeavor to appropriately protect all Personal Information. To that end, we shall implement a personal information protection management system in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Management System Requirements (JIS Q 15001), and all employees shall not only comply with but endeavor to continuously improve said system.

2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

We shall use the Personal Information of our customers, etc. for the following purposes:

  9. To produce statistical data that has been processed so as to make it impossible to identify any individual in relation to our services;
  10. To handle acts that are in violation of the terms of use, etc. of our services;
  11. To provide information to third parties in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the “Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties”; and
  12. For all purposes incidental to the purposes of use stated above;

2.Personal Information on Client Enterprises

For the purpose of communicating with clients, implementing contracts, requesting implementation, managing client information, etc.

3.Personal Information on Prospective Employees and Applicants for Employment

For the purpose of screening for employment, communicating regarding employment, and managing personnel.

3. Regarding the Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

We shall use the Personal Information of our customers, etc. for the following purposes:

1.We may, to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes stated below, provide Personal Information on our customers to companies to which we provide our services:

  1. Purposes to provide Personal Information to a third party
    - To provide our services, including but not limited to the order, delivery, shipment, and payment of products;
    - To introduce our or a third party’s new services, campaigns, customer presents, etc., and to ship said presents, distribute advertisements, etc;
    - For marketing activities related to services that we or a third party are currently providing or considering providing in the future; and
    - To produce statistical data that has been processed so as to make it impossible to identify any individual in relation to our services.
  2. Items of Personal Information to be provided
    1. Information on our customers’ attributes, including name, address, birth date, age, sex, ID, e-mail address, facsimile number, telephone number, profile picture, etc.; and
    2. Information on the use of the services we provide (communication history, terminal information, log information, location information, browsing history, etc.).
  3. Means or methods of provision
    Sending, transmitting, or browsing through written or electromagnetic means.
  4. Types and attributes of the persons who receive the provision of said information or said persons’ organizations
    Companies to which our services are provided.
  5. Method to suspend the provision of Personal Information to a third party
    Upon request by the customer themselves, if the customer fills out the necessary matters in a document prescribed by us and submits it in such method as designated by us, we can suspend the provision of Personal Information that can identify said relevant individual to third parties. Please contact our inquiry desk regarding said request.

2.We shall not, without the prior consent of the relevant individual, provide Personal Information on client enterprises, prospective employees, or applicants for employment to third parties; provided, however, that this shall not apply to the following cases:

  1. when we have obtained the relevant individual’s consent;
  2. when we are required by law to do so;
  3. when providing said information is necessary in order to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the relevant individual's consent is difficult; and
  4. when we provide an entrusted party with the minimum information necessary to achieve the purposes of use.

4. Regarding the Entrustment of Personal Information

We may entrust other business entities with Personal Information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such case, we shall select an entrusted party that has a well-maintained personal information protection system and enter into a contract with said party on the protection of personal information.

5. Regarding Procedures in Response to Requests for Disclosure, etc.

In the event we respond to a request from the relevant individual regarding the notification of the purposes of use, the disclosure, the correction, addition, or deletion of content, the suspension of use, and/or the erasure and suspension of provision to a third party of Personal Information retained by us that is subject to disclosure (hereinafter referred to as “Disclosure, etc.”), the procedures shall be carried out as follows:

1) driver’s license, 2) passport, 3) health insurance card, 4) pension booklet, 5) alien registration certificate, or any such similar official document.

*If the document submitted for identity verification contains the customer’s legal domicile, please blot it out in advance. If it has not been concealed at the time of our receipt, we shall blot out ourselves to avoid unapproved acquisition.

2.Fees for the Request

There is a 1,000-yen handling fee per application strictly for notification of the purposes of use or the disclosure of content.

3.Purposes of Use of Personal Information Acquired in Connection with Requests for Disclosure, etc.

Personal Information acquired in connection with the request for Disclosure, etc. shall be handled only to the extent necessary for the request for Disclosure, etc.

4.In the Event We Cannot Meet the Request for Disclosure, etc.

Please understand in advance that we cannot meet requests for Disclosure, etc. in the following cases:

  1. When there are any flaws in the documents submitted;
  2. When the relevant individual’s identity cannot be verified; or
  3. When the request does not apply to the Personal Information that we retain.

7. Voluntariness of the Relevant Individual’s Provision of Personal Information and Results Arising from Failure to Provide Said Information

The customer’s Personal Information should be submitted at the customer’s discretion. However, please take care when inputting any and all information, as mistakes in the content submitted may result in disadvantages to the customer, including but not limited to our inability to appropriately provide our services.

8. Acquisition of Personal Information via Methods through Which Relevant Individuals Cannot be Easily Recognized

We use Cookies to protect customers’ privacy, improve convenience, distribute advertisements, and acquire statistical data. Furthermore, using technologies such as Cookies or JavaScript, we may, from the information provided at the time of the customer’s registration, etc. for our services, acquire attribute information from which an individual cannot be identified such as age or sex (limited to information from which an individual cannot be identified even when analyzed in combination) or behavior history including location information, terminal information, log information, URLs accessed by customers within the scope of our services, reference orders, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Behavior History, etc.”); provided, however, that no Personal Information whatsoever is included in the Cookies and Behavior History, etc.

9. Exemptions

If a customer themselves discloses Personal Information to a third party by using the functions of our services or other means, we shall in no event be liable for the acquisition of Personal Information by said third party. If we provide Personal Information to a third party based on this Privacy Policy, the Personal Information provided to the third party shall, at the time of provision of said information, become Personal Information officially acquired by said third party, and we are not liable for the handling of Personal Information by said third party.

10. Revision of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be changed by us at any given time. We ask customers to regularly read this Privacy Policy and confirm the latest information at all times.
